1. Acceptance
By using Halves, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app or website.
2. What Halves is
Halves is a shared task and list manager for iPhone and Apple Watch. It supports solo groups and paired groups, real-time sync, widgets, notifications, Siri and Shortcuts, task photos, subtasks, multiple reminders, Pomodoro focus sessions, and AI-assisted task capture.
3. Accounts
Halves can create an anonymous account automatically. Sign in with Apple may be used when pairing, recovering, or upgrading an account. You are responsible for your device, Apple ID, and account activity.
4. Acceptable use
You may not misuse Halves, interfere with the service, attempt unauthorized access, harass others, or use the app for illegal or harmful purposes.
5. Pricing
Halves is currently free. If paid features are introduced later, the app will clearly explain them before purchase.
6. Your content and data
Your tasks, notes, lists, subtasks, reminders, photos, groups, and profile content remain yours. You authorize Halves to process the data required to provide the service, including local storage, sync, push notifications, widgets, Apple Watch display, and account deletion.
Shared task titles and notes are encrypted before sync. Task photos are encrypted before sync. Private tasks are intended to remain private to you and are not shared with your partner.
7. Third-party services
- Supabase: authentication, group management, sync, storage, Edge Functions, and push-support infrastructure.
- Google Gemini: cloud AI parsing and generation for chat task capture, AI list expansion, and some subtask suggestions.
- Apple: Sign in with Apple, APNs, iCloud Backup, WidgetKit, AppIntents, Siri, Shortcuts, Spotlight, Apple Watch, Image Playground, and Apple Intelligence Writing Tools.
Third-party services are subject to their own terms and policies.
8. AI and accuracy
AI suggestions can be wrong. Review task titles, dates, reminders, subtasks, lists, assignees, privacy settings, and recurrence before saving. Halves is a productivity tool, not professional advice.
9. Availability and changes
Halves is provided as is. Features may change, break, or be removed. We may update these terms; continued use means you accept the updated terms.
10. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law.
11. Termination
You can stop using Halves at any time. Use the in-app Delete Account flow to remove your Halves account data where supported. We may suspend access if you violate these terms.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by Swedish law. Disputes are resolved in Gothenburg, Sweden, unless applicable law requires otherwise.
